People often say “I don’t understand anything about politics”. They’re probably thinking of a certain type of politics; lots of technical gibberish, big buzzwords and complicated policies . This Politics isn’t made to be properly understood by the people.
At déi Lénk, we see politics as something that emerges directly from people’s daily lives. When people start to realise that their living conditions are getting worse, they understandably try to fight back or at the very least get upset about it. In doing so they are becoming political.
déi Lénk, organises seminars and lectures to make education on the multitude of problems in society more accessible to people, providing the necessary knowledge for people to build their political capital and help them become more politically engaged at home and in their communities.
Our Seminar program runs year-round.
In addition to insights into the major historical political movements, theories and conflicts, the working group for training & education also organises reading groups and conferences on current social issues.
