Housing

In 2016, déi Lénk launched a major housing campaign.

The goal of this campaign is to address the housing crisis and its causes while coming up a number of concrete proposals to make the right to housing a reality for everyone.

déi Lénk has drawn up two bills, among other actions. One proposal is to charge the client, often the owner, with the agency costs. The other proposal aims to curb rent prices.

You can find these and many other documents that were prepared as part of the campaign on a special site: http://wunnen.dei-lenk.lu/

déi Lénk continues to work actively on the housing subject. In Decembre 2019, in the context of the housing debate that took place in parliament, déi Lénk submitted five resolutions . Those 5 Resolutions  have a clear direction: don’t just keep watching, the state and the municipalities must take matters into their own hands.

Constitution

Strengthen democracy and create new democratic and social rights. With these goals in mind, déi Lénk drafted an alternative constitution. Our current constitution does not do justice to the challenges of the 21st century. Only a constitution that allows the co-determination of all residents, in elections, but also in all important questions of social, ecological and economic planning of the future, really meets the criteria of a democracy.
